"Life Lessons"

Recently a friend of mine celebrated his 38th birthday and shared his list of  "life lessons" that he learned  along the way.  I wholeheartedly agree with them.  Enjoy.

Some of the most important:
  1. Treat everyone you meet like your best friend.
  2. GIVE to others.. and not just money, but time and love. They need it more than you and it will always come back 3 fold.
  3. Don't sweat the small stuff. A life of stress and worry is no life at all. Sometimes it helps when I'm worried about something small to think about the universe as a whole, then the earth and how many people are on it and how long we are here. When you do that all the stress seems to just melt away.
  4. Live & let live. Nobody has room to judge another. As long as they are not intruding on you, there's no reason to look down on others for things you don't agree with or don't understand.
  5. Be bold & confident. Most people simply aren't. If you are, even just a little, it will shine through and will also make you feel great about yourself.
  6. Don't let anyone stop you from achieving your dreams. Someone who stands in your way is someone not worth your time or worry, regardless of who they are. Politely acknowledge their feedback and continue on working toward your goals.
  7. Dream BIG. Do BIG. Everyone who made a big impact on this world got there from believing in themselves and their dreams. All humans have equal opportunity if we strive for it. You can absolutely achieve your wildest dreams if you really want to.
What are some of the life lessons you've learned?
